photos :: diana f+

I finished up a few rolls of film that I shot on my Diana F+ recently so I thought I would share a few of my favourites.
With these photos I wish that I had have waited until the sky turned a little more blue. That thing in the bottom right is the horseshoe on top of our shed in the backyard. I do kind of like that these photos look a bit creepy with the clouds.
Since I took this photo I have actually dug up that bush. I believe it was a forsythia and I did kind of like it but I really wanted to put a pretty lilac bush over in that area. I'm glad I got a photo of the forsythia while it was all yellow and pretty.
This is probably my favourite photo from this roll. This was our plum tree while it was blossoming and looking really pretty. As I mentioned before, our plum tree is looking pretty diseased at the moment and I need to do some major cutting back to hopefully save it. Poor thing!

Since I got my Diana I have been shooting using the 35mm back which causes the photos to be super zoomed in. It's ok once you get the hang of it but I really want to get some 120 film and try shooting with that. Maybe my next roll?

  1. Those shots are gorgeous, and I have to agree, the plum tree is best! The composition of it is completely beautiful, it actually made me nerd out art degree style enjoying all the different elements!

  3. Great pictures! Is love to get a toy camera. I used 120 film in my twin lense camera before and its pretty fun. I still need to practice with it. I want to try it with 35mm to see what happens. Should be interesting.

  4. I have a Diana, and neglect it horribly, I've shot with 35mm and feel that I am having trouble getting a hang of framing it well.

    I shot with a roll of 120 like over a year ago and haven't gotten it developed yet, I'm so anxious and hope there are some prize pictures in there!

    I'd love to see some future posts about shooting with yours :)

  5. I'm jealous. I can't seem to get ANY decent photos with my Diana. They always come out blurry, which kinda pisses me off xD Love yours though :) The last one especially.

  6. Oooh...I love the last one! :) The colors are so lovely...I just shot a bunch of film with my Diana mini on a trip to Europe and I'm dying to get it developed! So exciting, film...

  7. Very lovely photos. And yes, that pretty yellow bush was a forsythia. I would love to see pictures of the lilac bush too!

  8. Nice photos! I like the second creepy shed photo- I keep wanting there to be a UFO in the sky. That Diana camera you have is really adorable! I know nothing about this type of camera. It seems fun to experiment with cameras that you're not totally sure of what the outcome will be. But I must admit, I actually loved it when we got our first SLR because though it was awesome to get a roll developed that turned out really well, I found it so disappointing to wait to get our film developed only to find that the whole roll (or most of it) sucked. The only time I really enjoyed the process with film was when I was developing my own photos. Then film was really exciting for me.

  10. I am loving all these Diana F pics you are posting. I desperately need to get my Holga developed. I let it sit in my camera forever before I get around to getting it developed. Poor pictures. They are over a year old now >.<
