Video :: Make up

Hi!

When I asked you guys for vlog questions quite a few of you wanted to know more about my make up routine. I decided to put together a vlog to show you my process, as well as take some photos along the way.
The video is kind of long so in case you are not in the mood to watch me put on make up...I will be posting the photo version this afternoon.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

PS. I totally meant to flip the video so you aren't seeing everything in mirror image but I completely forgot and then didn't notice until it was too late. Sorry!

  1. Great video!

    It's always good to see how other people achieve their look. And you most definitely don't need to wear foundation anyway, your skin is beautiful.

    Have a lovely day : )

  2. Fun video, thanks for posting! I think I'm going to try your technique for putting on eyeshadow, it gives your eyes a lot of depth without making them look shadowy.

  3. Haha, that was great. It's good to use up the stuff you already have even if it's not vegan. It's such a waste when people just throw away perfectly usable stuff. I need to practice with my liquid eyeliner. I think I'm probably not as bad as I think I am. I'm just not used to wearing it, so it usually just looks wrong even though it's probably fine.

  4. Hahahaha, you are hilarious! I was giggling all the way through this. If only I were so funny whilst getting ready in the morning!

  5. Hi! I believe the liquid eyeliner you held up was by Urban Decay? If I saw that right, then have no fear, they are still cruelty-free! There were news recently that they were going to expand their sales to include China (where animal testing is legally required), however they backed out of that venture and decided to stick to their cruelty-free ways. So YAY!

    I love your accent, by the way. I used to sound like that when I was younger and lived up in Toronto, but years of Florida living have erased that!

    1. I think she was referring to the fact that Loreal has just purchased Urban Decay, and they not only test but also sell in China. I am super super sad, because I love UD's liquid eyeliner and especially their line of glitter lines.

  6. As soon as I saw "vlog" on your tweet, I rushed over; I've missed them. You have the uncanny ability to make everything interesting and hilarious ~ so down to earth. I think I scared my son when I died laughing at your eyelash curler scare. You make me laugh, girl. Thanks.

    1. Aw thank you! Although it's far from flawless if you saw it in person.
      My tip...never wash your face. Kidding! Although sometimes I fall asleep without washing off my makeup...terrible I know. I usually just use whatever soap is available but if I'm feeling fancy I will pull out my Burt's Bees sensitive skin face wash. Pretty low maintenance.

  11. I love this video. I also don't replace my brushes very often. Some of the brushes in my makeup kit have been there since I was fourteen. That's twelve years! I do add to my collection occasionally though. To be honest, as long as you wash your brushes regularly, and they're all still in working order, I don't see the need to replace them frequently.

  12. I love your make up vlog. I never wore make up until I got into my mid twenties, so it is always interesting to see how other people apply theirs. I've always loved that cat eye liner look. I just started trying to do it myself but I almost always end up stabbing my eye. I think the trick after seeing your vlog is liquid liner and not pencil. :P
