Pregnancy :: 23 Weeks

23 weeks 1 day in photo
I really feel like my tummy has been growing noticeably everyday lately. It is pretty neat.

This week I felt good until my cold hit on Monday. It really has knocked me out more than a cold normally would. I have been drinking lots of fluids and staying active when I have a few hours of extra energy but mostly I have been relaxing and blowing my nose.

I still haven't felt any stronger movements than I had been feeling previously. Same sort of muffled feeling. I am bummed that I can't feel too much yet but so happy that this is the only somewhat unusual thing I am experiencing in my pregnancy. I am very happy for a healthy baby.

I haven't really been having crazy "cravings" but certain things that I don't normally think of or haven't eaten in a really long time will suddenly sound really good. Nothing consistent but I have been through lots of different food phases so far. This week I was really into toast with Veganaise, avocado and pepper. Yum!

That's about all I have to say about week 23. Have a great weekend.

  1. Lovely lovely bump! I have an anterior placenta too, so I'm a bit bummed too, but glad it doesn't affect anything! I wonder when I'll start to feel some movement!

  2. Such a lovely bump!

    When I was pregnant, I couldn't eat bananas without craving cheese and vice versa.
    In the end I resorted to eating cheese and banana sandwiches :o

  4. I never had weird cravings at all. It made me wonder if it was a real thing for people or just in their head? LOL!

  6. I remember the first few times I felt my daughter kick; I thought I just had gas! Haha. But next thing you know, she's keeping me up at night because she's kicking like crazy, and you can see it! It's so fun. That's the only thing I missed about her being in my belly!

  7. You look more beautiful then ever! Congrats on your pregnancy :) I'm pretty sure whenever I'm pregnant I will crave a bunch of stuff and I will be annoying the future dad all the time haha

  8. So sweet. I adore belly photos. I think your 2 painted nails shows your lack of energy, that's something I would do when sick, hehe! Hope you're feeling better!

  10. My placenta was on the front with both kiddos. I found lying on my side with my hand under my belly and kind of "tickling" the baby to get him to move prompted kicks and movements that I could feel from the side. And my daughter had in utero hiccups ALL the time. It's a crazy feeling.

  11. You look great! I hope you feel better soon. I just got hit with a nasty cold/sinus bug too (at 30 weeks) and I've been down and out for about 4 days. :( A neti pot has been my best friend and then lots of water and sleep!

  13. You are so adorable! I'm about the same size and I'm only 16 weeks. But no hips + no place for my babies to hide. You mentioned not feeling much movement and I wondered if you know where your placenta is... but I looked back at your last post and saw that you found out it is anterior. I had anterior placenta with my son, and it certainly muffled his movements. Later on, the movement will be unmistakeable but it's hard not to feel jilted 'til then! (and then, before you know it, you have a precocious three year old. So, you know... *wink)
