5 Fave Friday

I have been missed the past few weeks but I have had a mental list of all the awesome things I wanted to share with you guys! I am really excited about these things!!!

5. I am absolutely going to get this.
I have had two beta fish in the past (Garfunkel & Uncle Jesse) and while I loved them, I hated cleaning the tank. This is the perfect solution. Also, Ivan and I have been trying to grow our own wheatgrass so that makes this even more perfect.

4. Mortified Nation
Have you guys heard of Mortified? Well, I hadn't but Netflix recommended that I watch this movie and I am so happy that I did. I loved everything about it. It was so funny but also really heartwarming and touching. I would really love to see a live show some day.

3. I have become kind of obsessed with The Detoxinista.
Recently I googled a bunch of recipes and this blog kept popping up. There are so many yummy looking things that are on my list to make. Check it out!

2. This made me laugh so hard that I cried. Hopefully you will find it at least a little funny so you don't think I'm a total weirdo.

1. Dandies.

Holy crap you guys. These things are amazing. We have pretty much eliminated processed food from our diets but I just had to try these marshmallows. I thought they would be kind of 'meh' but I needed to see if I was right...I was totally wrong. They are off the hook. Like, way off the hook. They are so off the hook that they are basically a cordless phone. Side note: I just looked up what the term "off the hook" actually means because I always think of a phone being off the hook when I say it. I knew that wasn't where it came from but I am actually pretty off in my usage of the word. But...the person who wrote the description used "there" instead of "they're" so I'm not too worried. I use it in more of the Buster Bluth way, "Unlimited juice? This party is going to be off the hook!"

Ok, so that's all I have to say today. I hope everyone has a great Friday!

  1. AHAHAHAA! Creepy Danny!! Ug, gave me the icky shivers, but so funny. Sort of fits though, especially when you hear about Bob Saget's pervy standup material. And I just watched the trailer for Mortified on youtube, and it looked hilarious... I ripped up my old diaries years ago, and totally regret doing that. And can I just say, I love that your Friday Faves aren't all things to buy - very refreshing and "off the hook"! I looked up the definition too, and I think they also spelled "hangar" wrong. And I thought it referred to phones too, but now we know. :) The Dandies do look really good. Great post, happy Friday! Also, Happy First Mother's Day (with Milo out of your belly) this weekend!

    1. Yes! I remember feeling really weird when I heard about his stand up. Danny Tanner is just the sweetest guy ever. Now I just think it makes him more awesome!
Thank you! Yeah, I definitely like to keep it "off the hook". As much as I love window shopping and sharing finds with people I really love sharing ridiculous Full House related videos more.

  2. I loved Mortified Nation! It almost makes me want to dig up my high school writing. Almost.

And that Full House trailer killed me. "I just wanna dip your legs in garlic butter..." WTF?!

  3. I actually have the AquaFarm and it is awesome! The wheatgrass was super easy to grow and we threw it in smoothies! The tank doesn't really stay that clean though. We still have to clean ours every few weeks.

    1. Oh yeah, I'm good at naming fish. Well, except when I was a kid. I had a bunch of tiny fish and I named them A, B, C, D, E, F (continue along the alphabet for however many I had...I don't remember)

  8. BAHAHAHA, that sinister Full House was epic. It's amazing how much something can change by simply changing the background music. It is serious winning. I laughed so hard when Danny was recording one of the girls feet (I used to watch Full House but not to the Elycia level, so I don't remember all their names), that my boss heard me. Ooops.

    1. Ha!! Isn't it crazy? We actually did an assignment on that in my high school music class. We had to show a scene from a movie with and without music and talk about the difference.
I like that there is an "Elycia level" of Full House watching. I like that a lot. :D

  9. Please don't get the fishtank thing. It's animal abuse to put goldfish in fishbowls :(

    1. I have never really thought about that stance on fish in tanks. Makes sense though. Either way, you don't have to worry. Turns out this item doesn't ship to Canada.

  10. Dandies are awesome. They used to sell them at a vegan/natural store in Toronto that's since closed. I'm now having a hard time finding them.

    1. I got these at Goodness Me but now they are sold out! They are a fairly new item there so hopefully they get them again.
