I mentioned already that Ivan went to Ohio for work a few weeks ago and that Milo and I joined him. I also mentioned that Kaylah made the (kind of long) drive across Ohio to see us and I couldn't have been happier. It was really awesome to spend the day together and I can't wait to see my best girl again sooner rather than later. Here is an hour by hour shot of our day.
8 am :: We were up bright and early before 7 but photos didn't start until I snapped this one of Ivan sending an email with Milo assisting him.
9 am :: I wish the 9:00 photo was one of me hopping and skipping to meet Kaylah in the parking lot. I was so excited!! This shot of her taking a photo of Milo is pretty sweet though.
10 am :: We drove about half an hour to an outlet mall that we thought would have a photo booth. It didn't and it was really sketchy looking and pretty empty so we basically just stopped to feed Milo and then turned around and headed back to the hotel. There was practically nothing to do in the area we were in. Kaylah typed in "shopping mall" and Wendy's came up.
11 am :: We did see this building telling us to "Eat Cigarettes" and we had to turn around to get a photo of it.
12 pm :: I love this.
1 pm :: The view from our hotel room. Seriously, we were surrounded by fields.
2 pm :: Baby bed head.
3 pm :: Baby photo shoot.
4 pm :: Kaylah headed back home and Milo and I were just left to hang with blankets and sweatshirts.
5 pm :: The lamp reflection looked really neat. So I took a photo.
6 pm :: Baby play time. Concentrating very hard.
7 pm :: I recently watched all of Raising Hope and it is realllly cute and funny. Now I'm watching My Name is Earl in my spare time because it is by the same creator (right?) and has a bunch of the same characters. I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy both shows.
8 pm :: Hotel room doors always look kind of creepy. Milo and I were totally in bed for the night at around this time. Actually, I think he had already been sleeping for at least an hour at this point. Daylight savings did a number on my baby.
Kaylah did a photo an hour too so make sure you pop over to her blog and check out the photos. We took some similar photos right on the border of a few hours so I might have them as one hour and Kaylah might have them as another hour. Just put it down to the fact that our cameras, phones, hotel clocks all read different times. I am so excited so see Kaylah's photos!!

Photo an Hour :: September 30, 2013
It seems that everyday that I decide to do a photo an hour we sleep in. Before this day Milo and I had been getting up between 7 and 8. Lately 9 or 10 is more the usual. One thing that I've learned when it comes to babies, the usual is always changing. Here is our day.
10 am :: Sleepy baby stretches.
11 am :: Watching a little Breaking Bad (I'm way behind, no spoilers) while Milo snoozes some more.
12 pm :: Playtime. We got this moose as a gift and it is my favourite of Milo's toys. It seems to be his favourite too. He is always smiling and laughing at it.
1 pm :: Milo took a little nap so I decided to sneak in my exercise. He ended up waking up almost right away but he watched me happily for at least 15 minutes.
2 pm :: Oh Farva.
3 pm :: Taking a quick 5 minute breather.
4 pm :: I made a makeshift eggplant parmesan for dinner.
5 pm :: I have a beautiful woven wrap but I still love the Moby for getting things done around the house. (No they didn't send me one for free and this is not sponsored...I just love it!)
6 pm :: Some more moose playtime. Actually we were singing songs, the moose was just there for company.
I think that this was my most boring day ever to do a photo an hour. I really don't mind though. I want to remember what my life was like at this point. I want to remember the sleepy stretches and the hours of baby playtime. I want to remember these uneventful days spent at home with my little guy because I have been told that he won't be this little forever...who knew?
I hope everyone has a good Wednesday.

Photo an Hour :: August 31, 2013
I took a photo an hour on the last day in August. I will probably way this ten more times but I can't believe it is September! Milo will be three months old in no time and it still totally feels like he was born yesterday. Anyways, this photo an hour day we went up to visit my Dad's family for their annual corn roast which was also a bit of a baby shower for Milo. We had a great day.
10 am :: We were actually up at 8 something but had a bit of a busy morning so I forgot to take any photos before 10. This was Milo's morning nap after a little soak in the tub. Don't worry, with all those blankets around him you better believe this was a fully supervised nap. I got dressed and put on my makeup right beside him as he snoozed.
11 am :: Milo with his Nana right before we left.
12 pm :: I have really been enjoying this book. It's very laid back and matter of fact and I like that a lot. I like to read lots of things about babies and parenting to get a feel for all of the opinions out there and then make my own decisions based on what I learned and what feels right.
1 pm :: Car snack. I loooove this flavour.
2 pm :: The party decor. My cousin is really awesome with themes and decorating.
3 pm :: Such a sweet touch.
4 pm :: Ok so I'm cheating with this photo. I did in fact take a photo for 4 pm but I prefer this one because it shows what was really going on at four. Present time! Normally I feel pretty uncomfortable opening gifts in front of people but it was pretty laid back and fun. Oh and all the gifts were awesome! We are really lucky. Oh yeah, don't mind the wrinkles in my skirt. Geeze, we even have a steamer so I have no excuse for being wrinkly.
5 pm :: My cousin's adorable puppy Delilah. She is a Boxer/Bull Dog mix and she is so well behaved and sweet.
6 pm :: In Canada we have special vanilla ice cream. Jealous?
7 pm :: Pretty flowers and the sun starting to go down. When the heck did it start setting so early!?
8 pm :: A short little bonfire. Milo and I were down there for a total of 2 minutes before he got fussy and we went inside for some playtime on the floor.
What a great day!!
This week is going to be over before I know it. I am planning on looking into a few more group activities that Milo and I can go do. I'm thinking of swimming lessons/playtime in a few more months and some free city programs. I'm excited!

Photo an Hour :: July 31, 2013
Last Wednesday I took a photo an hour, my first one since Milo was born. My days are pretty different now and are very much based on the hunger of a little boy. Breastfeeding is pretty much a full time job, especially during growth spurts! Milo is definitely in the middle of one at the moment. Anyways, here is my day.
10 am :: We got a late start today. Sometimes we get up when Ivan goes to work but other days Milo and I go back to bed for a few hours. I took some time to answer emails this morning. I thought I was bad at prompt responses before...now I'm ridiculous. I apologize to anyone who emails me!
11 am :: Milo is starting to like being put down in this little bouncy seat for short periods of time now. He is getting more interested in just looking around.
12 pm :: Getting ready to head out to a social group. I really psyched myself up so that I wouldn't chicken out.
1 pm :: In the carseat, ready to go.
2 pm :: Hanging out at Barefoot Babies. The group was really great. It was super laid back and people were so friendly. I can't wait to go back.
3 pm :: After the group I picked up a few treats for Ivan and I and a smoothie for myself from Sestre's Bakery.
4 pm :: Milo and I getting stuff done in our Moby wrap. I reslly love it and will probably talk a bit about it in another post.
5 pm :: Taking a little rest while we wait for Ivan to get home.
6 pm :: A few quick Pinny snuggles before heading over to Ivan's Dad's house.
7 pm :: Hanging out.
8 pm :: A diaper change before heading home.
There were quite a few more awake hours in the evening but I called it quits at 8:00.
So that's my day! I'm excited to keep up regular photo an hour days to see how things change in the coming months.
Have a great Tuesday!

Photo an Hour :: June 2013
I know I just did a photo an hour for May but I really wanted to capture our day our in Niagara Falls on Saturday. Here is a look at what we did, hour by hour.
7 am :: Ready to go meet our friends in Niagara Falls!!
8 am :: On the road with my sweat rag. Gross, I know. I got so hot while I was getting ready and I just couldn't cool down. I don't like being sweaty (unless I'm exercising) so I brought this towel to keep the sweat situation in check.
9 am :: I get a lot of stuff shipped to Kaylah and we hadn't seen each other in way too long so I had a lot of mail. It was like Christmas!
10 am :: We visited the Buffalo Aquarium. It was pretty small but there were some pretty fish and a bunch of rescued seals. Their stories were so, so sweet.
11 am :: We couldn't figure out what the heck you would get to see by looking through this thing. It seemed like just trees and buildings.
12 pm :: At the Falls taking my typical "I'm behind you being a creep" shot.
1 pm :: We grabbed some shaved ice but unfortunately didn't make a purchase that qualified us for a free baby.
2 pm :: We saw a brochure that Body Worlds had just started at the Buffalo Museum of Science. We had all seen it (or a version of it) before but we were excited to see it again so we headed over.
3 pm :: We spent some time checking out the rest of the museum.
4 pm :: Cool shadows!
5 pm :: After having an amazing Indian lunch earlier in the day we had the most disappointing Indian dinner ever. Bummer.
6 pm :: Kaylah had never been to a casino so we headed over so that she could lose all of her money on the slots. Well, actually just $4.80. Casinos are not the most exciting place to me because I'm too cheap to gamble and I have been known to fall asleep while waiting for other people. This visit was the perfect length though (very short!) so I managed to stay awake and have fun.
7 pm :: Back to the room for a quick swim and then out again for a quick snack trip.
8 pm :: We had planned on going back to the Falls at night but we got kind of lazy and the weather wasn't great so we stayed in and played through the entire box of Cards Against Humanity. Have you played this game? It is soooo terrible and soooo funny.
It was a fun, tiring day! I think I probably visited every single washroom in Niagara Falls at least once. I really should have taken photos of each one and done reviews to let you know which ones are best. Or maybe it's a good thing I didn't because that probably would have been weird.
