wedding

Eeks! Our wedding is exactly two weeks from today and we still have quite a lot to do. A few major things and a lot of minor things. Good thing I work better with fast approaching deadlines (I am a true procrastinator). Here are a few little peeks at what we've been working on this week.
pretty packages from Kaelah's shop hive + honey. I had planned on making the girl's hairpieces myself but I have too many other things to do so I outsourced it ;) I couldn't be happier with the pieces from Kaelah and she is definitely one of the sweetest girls ever!
I had my trial hair appointment so I added some netting to my hairpiece and now my veil is ready!
I made a trip to Ottawa Street (street in Hamilton with tons of fabric stores) to choose some pretty fabric for miscellaneous wedding projects.
And...I finally found some skinny ties to use as a template for Ivan's and the groomsmen's ties. Oh yeah, I also bought the fabric to make the ties.

We checked a few other things off the to do list but if I showed you all of them there would be a lot of photos of the computer screen. Today we are off to our friend's place to make some favours for the wedding. And we slept in super late so we better hurry up and get ready! eep!

Any exciting plans for today?

  4. Wow! Looks like it's all coming together Elycia! :) I'm still very much loving the colour scheme! I hope your day is fantastic!

My plans for today were to move the ferrets from the spare room outside into the garden! We had to keep stopping though - every time we tried to do a bit more to the hutch it started to rain! Luckily I bought a waterproof hutch hugger the other day so they're keeping nice and dry! I'm about to go out and check on them soon to make sure they're keeping nice and snug in their bed box! :)
I've also re-arranged the spare room a little since they're now outside and I'm half way there to creating my craft room! I'm so excited! I've just started setting up my grandma's old knitting machine - I'm actually a bit baffled by some of it even though I'm quite a technical person! Hopefully I'll get there with it though - I'm itching to start knitting some cute stuff following the retro patterns I have to go with it!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

    xo Amy.
