Photos :: 365 Project

14/365 :: The yummiest drink I've had in a while. It was Belvoir Elderflower Presse and I bought it for the pretty bottle but was pleasantly surprised by how good it is.
15/365 :: My pretty July glass. I haven't found any new glasses in so long and then this week April told me she found me two and Amy (a lovely girl who reads my blog and knows my mom) found me a glass. They are all ones I don't have and I am so excited!!
16/365 :: I already showed you so many photos of my pretty yarn.
17/365 :: I love catching these two snoozing together.
18/365 :: Anakin spent so much of the day sleeping on the pillows but of course when I tried to snap his picture he got up and left.
19/365 :: I guess this was cat week in my 365 project! I couldn't help it, my kitties were being extra sweet this week.
20/365 :: I told myself that the next time I ran out of mascara and eyeliner I would upgrade to vegan versions. It took me a long time to run out but I finally did so I stayed true to my word and spent the big bucks on some animal friendly makeup.

I love doing these weekly recaps of my 365 project because it makes sure that I keep up with my choosing and editing.

I'm not sure what I have planned for today but I hope to get a lot done! Monday's are always a nice new start. Have a good one!

  5. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Urban Decay isn't really vegan anymore. They were bought by L'Oreal in November. Which means tested on animals. :( I recently switched to Gabriel mascara instead of Urban Decay, but I'm not thrilled with it so I'll try ZuZu or Beauty Without Cruelty next.

    1. Ugh! Really?! I'm going to look into that. On their website it specificallly says that these products are vegan. I would have assumed that meant no animal testing! Thank you for letting me know.

    2. It's a really complicated issue. Urban Decay was going to start testing on animals so they could go into the Chinese market, but after customer complaints, they announced that they wouldn't. But then L'Oreal bought them and L'Oreal is in the Chinese market and will likely go ahead with testing Urban Decay on animals so they can sell it in China too. Or maybe they won't and will still keep Urban Decay as animal friendly, like The Body Shop, which is also owned by L'Oreal. BUT they're still owned by a company that tests on animals.

  11. Ooh let us know how the vegan products work out, that's a really good idea. Although it would suck if it's true that Urban Decay isn't vegan, because their products are so good.

  12. I don't know much about your cats yet (will definitely dig through the archives!), but it's so great to see cats sleeping next to each other! I get SO happy when I see mine do it, like my heart melts, because they don't do it that much. :)

    Also, I love that you buy cruelty free stuff! I feel it's so important to do that, especially because these days we at least have some choices. If you're looking for new makeup I've heard from a lot of people that 100% Pure cosmetics are really good, if you can buy them in your area.

    Hope you're having a nice evening!
