It is an exciting time for Ivan and I. I didn't want to announce it until it was officially official because I didn't want to jinx anything but...we bought a house! We started moving in on Monday and we are thrilled. Super busy, but thrilled. The internet hasn't been set up yet but I should have blog posts going up for the rest of the week. I want to share some home peeks but the really good ones will probably have to wait until it doesn't look like a box storage facility. For now here are the sneakiest of peeks from our new place.
I know these peeks don't show much but I plan on taking lots more photos of the house! Want to hear something crazy? This house is the same layout as the house my parent's lived in when I was born. Our parents didn't see the house until the deal was done so we found this out after we had purchased it. Isn't that cool!?
I hope everyone is having a good day!
ps. Does anyone have any favourite home decor blogs/websites! I love looking around to get ideas. Or have you done something really cool in your own home that you want to share? Let me know!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! How exciting! And I loooooove those shelves by the door.ReplyDelete
Congrats on the new house! :) I can't wait to see what you do with it! :)ReplyDelete
I'm just about to move into a new place too! So exciting isn't it?!! I'm so pumped. New spaces to decorate and explore. So happy for you! Can't wait to see pictures in the near future of what you and Ivan do, I'm sure it will be cute as buttons. I'll be watching your comments to see if anyone has design website tips for you, as I am in the market for new design inspiration websites too. Yay new house!!!!ReplyDelete

I know it sounds redundant by now with every commenter saying "Congrats" but..CONGRATS! I know exactly how hard it is to get a home and I am surprised my fiance and his family found a house so quick within a month.ReplyDelete
I know for a fact that this house will bring you quite of fun and honestly, I could not help but to picture you sprucing up the house with bright colors in a retro style. I hope Ivan agrees with those ideas, if they are what you are planning! ;]
On a daily basis, I just usually tour through http://myfuturehome.tumblr.com/ for inspiration. And you can always look at Kaylah's house for inspiration. She's quite the decorator and one of my faves. ;] ;] ;]
It is sooo, soo super! congarts! :))ReplyDelete

Yay yay yay yay yay!!!!! Is your head nearly exploding with decor ideas?ReplyDelete
Some of my favourite places for diy ideas are (the classics) Design Sponge, Decor8, Apartment Therapy, ohdeedoh. I also just stalk the blogs of people that have amazing decor - like Danielle Thompson and Rachel Denbow. And finally I check One Pretty Thing pretty often for diy decor projects.
Good luck Elycia!! Maybe we'll have to visit each others homes once all the decorating is done. I know when you'll be coming to my house! ;)

I seriously hope it's not just me seeing him...
