Organizing Photos

I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one with a huge drawer full of instant photos waiting to be organized/displayed. Quite a few months ago I found this cute 'Places and Faces' album at the thrift store and the other day I finally took some time to stick in a few photos. I just over half filled it and it is already kind of bulging because all of the photos are lined up in the center. I'm not mad at it though. Worst case scenario, I'll get some new rings for it so that everything has more room to breath.

I absolutely love instant photos and I like having a little place to keep them all together. How do you store/display your non digital photos? I'm always looking for new ideas.

  1. This looks wonderful! I love that album and the photos are brilliant too.
To be honest I often just keep them in the envelope they came in. I know I'll put all in an album too one day, but no I just don't really have a steady theme going haha;)

  3. My Always has these nice old tins filled with the photos she can't fit into frames. Haha I suppose otherwise the tins would be a pretty useless collection!!

  4. I have a huge embroidery hoop with a few rows of lace in it that I hang my instax photos from with mini clothespins. But that's really only good for a few favorites. I think I fit like 16 or so on mine.

  5. I have been thinking about this myself, I am thinking about getting a cork board painting it, and pinning them to the board. Though leaves a gap of what to do with all the others that don't fit! hmmm...

  7. Here in Europe instant photos were/are not so popular as in North America I suppose. Personally, I do not know anyone making such photos. Nevertheless, I have similar problem, though I do not have full drawer of photos, my computer is full of photos I have to print and then organized. Recently I even started to do so. I had a problem of chosing which I should print and when I did it took me loots of hours of pasting them into album. But I'm so glad I did it, finally I had really time to watch them!

About storing non digital photos, I have just finished one diy project for that. Once I publish it on my blog I will show you link here.

  9. THat's so cute! I've been wanting to get an instant camera so bad, but just haven't had the time to pick one out I really like. Those pictures look so fun and that album is so cute! What a great find :)

  10. Lovely collection! Great to put up on a photowall (that has a bright colour as a good background for the pics :D ). And after changing one colletion, just put the old ones in a book.
    But who has the time.....
    Have a great day *^_^*

  11. I still print photos every week. I scrapbook them, put them in frames on the wall, or just slide them into photo album pockets. I've heard too many horror stories of crashed hard drives and want to make sure I have them for years and years.

  12. I love that you take so many photos. It will be so great to look back on as time goes on! I really need to start taking more pictures of the little things, so I can remember each stage of my life..xx

  13. I do a photo wall with my instax. At the end of the year they go into an album and a new one starts. It's a fun way to have an ever changing wall to look at.

  14. Oh, gosh. This is always a challenge for me. I've been using Polaroids for almost 15 years and sadly, I put them in a plastic bin. The plastic ruined some of the instant pictures. I recommend cigar boxes (those are displayed beautifully!) and some are placed in a manila folder waiting to be organized, ooops!

  16. Currently my instax photos are on a magnetic board. Since they're so small I can hold up a few with each magnet I have on there.

  17. I found a really cute photo album last year that said "You are my favorite in the history of ever". I filled it with pictures of my best friend and I and gave it to her as a moving gift when I moved to a new state. I really need to display more photos around my home.

  18. I hang my photos in garlands around the house, kinda like bunting but with tiny wooden clothes pegs, here's a picture of my latest one:

What camera do you use? I was looking on lomography.com last night at instant cameras but the film is crazy expensive!
