Photos :: 365 (August 5 - 11)

217/365 :: Monday was a holiday and we went over to my Mom's for dinner. Of course Ivan and Milo just had to look cute together.
218/365 :: On Tuesday Milo slept almost all day. He would wake up, eat and then go right back to sleep. He had been eating a ton leading up to that so I guess it was part of his six week growth spurt.
219/365 :: Orange is the New Black is such a great show. It is usually really hard for me to get into new shows (that aren't terrible reality television) but this was love at first watch. Seriously, it is soooo good!
220/365 :: Don't worry, I didn't leave Milo unattended sleeping in this adorable (but slightly uncomfortable looking position). He just looked so cute I had to take some photos.
221/365 :: Squirmy baby in his Hello Apparel onesie. Milo didn't really nap much this day and I realized that that is a terrible thing. He had a huge meltdown in the evening while we were visiting our friends and we had to leave. I now know that I need to make sure he naps. I'm used to him just sleeping whenever he wants but now I think he may be at the point where I need to encourage naps/help him get to sleep if he isn't choosing to on his own.
222/365 :: We spent some time cleaning/organizing Milo's room and mostly finished up on Sunday. It is almost ready for a tour!
223/365 :: Milo took a good nap in his crib on Sunday while we were working on his room. It was the first time we put him in there for a nap and it went really well.
It was apparently baby week in my 365 project! I don't mind. I am so happy that I have all these photos to look back on. I'm planning on making a book of my 365 project when it is finished. I don't print photos often but I really would like to have a physical copy once it is complete. Plus, there are going to be lots of cute photos of Mr. Milo.

Today is my last midwife appointment. It was rescheduled from last Thursday and I am sad that it will be the last visit! I am going to miss my midwives. Oh well, we'll just have to have another baby. Maybe...eventually. I could just bring them cookies and go visit instead.

  2. It's great that you're taking so many pictures of your son. Mine is 14 months right now and I absolutely adore looking back at his baby pictures. I don't realize how much he has changed until I look at those pictures. :)

  3. Naptime is really nice to implement consistently in your routine. I found that I was just winging it until my daughter was 6 months and the public meltdowns became way, way to difficult to manage. Good sleep begets more good sleep! :D

    I think I'm going to follow your lead and work on a project 365 photo book when my second daughter is born this December. Second kids always tend to get 'the shaft' when it comes to getting photos of them taken and I really don't want that to happen.

    You have a really sweet little family. :)

  10. If you're looking to get him on a sleep schedule, at the day care I work at we usually put our babies down in their crib after they have a mid day bottle. To encourage them to drift to sleep, we lay them down on their backs (obviously) and then pat their bellies to sleep. Children like it when you pat them to sleep well into their toddler years. It makes them feel safe, or at least that's what I've been told over the years haha.
